The 2023 season starts for FFVoile and all its clubs with the summer season on the horizon and the French Championship as a target for our young sailors. Changes are expected this year for the French Junior Championships with in particular 4 new organizing clubs as well as a reorganization of the kiteboarding events which will all be merged into a single French Junior and Open Championship.

This year 45 champion and champion of France Young titles (minimums and hopes) should be awarded. And as usual, it’s the Minimes who will kick off the season in New Aquitaine in mid-July.

France Minimes in Carcans, episode 2!

– After a successful 2022 edition in Lac d’Hourtin,French Minime Championshipwill take place at the Cercle de la Voile de Bordeaux – Carcans Maubuisson for 2e consecutive year, from Saturday July 8 to Thursday July 13, 2023. 9 titles will be awarded at the end of a regatta week on the largest natural lake in France.

It will be followed by two French Cups in a common fleet in which all those selected for France Minimes will be able to participate. New this year, the Coupe de France Windfoil will run for 4 days, from July 14th to 17th. The French Cup in Team Racing will be offered in the same format as last year and will take place on July 14 and 15. The opportunity for all new Minimes to try new media or discover crewed sailing.

After 3 great years, the Espoirs leave Martigues

– This yearChampionship of France U23 sail to the shores of the Atlantic! It is in the port of Minime that this championship takes place from August 19 to 28, organized by the La Rochelle Nautique club. The Light Sailing and Open 5.70 titles will be contested in the first part of the championship, until August 24, and the Common Inhabitable Fleet will take place in the second part of the championship. This positioning will allow all athletes and leagues to sign up for this great national goal, which plays into the game of interdisciplinary training and the gateway to Inshore practice.

In this championship, 13 titles will be awarded: 15.5 Open; SL16 Open; Nacra 15; Open 29ers; Open 570 – Open; 420 Boys/Mixed; 420 Girl; ILCA7 Boys; ILCA6 Boys; ILCA6 Girls; ILCA4 Boys; ILCA4 Girls; Open the Common Habitable Fleet.

In parallel with the Common Inhabitable Fleet, the Common Fleet activity will be organized once again for dinghies for all the young people who have participated in the first part of the French championship.

On the windsurfing side, there will be 3 French championships

– Club Nautic Miramas will host againFrench Championship for extreme youth windsurfersat Etang de Berre from August 26 to 31.

The age categories are the same as in 2022: 14-16 years and 17-18 years.

– After 3 years settled in Narbonne,French Youth Extreme Slalom Championship on Snow travels to Hauts de France, to Dunkirk, from 21 to 26 October. This championship will welcome all slalom racers in Firerace 120 and Formula 42 and for this year more than 200 racers are expected in the Channel.

– In the competition, the awarding of the Techno 293 and Techno Plus 293 titles for men and women will take place inFrench Practical Raceboard Championship WHOwill take place during the holidays of All Saints, from 28 to 1 Octoberer november

A big kiteboarding party in 2023!

French extreme kitefoil and freestyle skiing championship will gather the whole kite family this year at the famous Coussoules beach in La Franqui! KSL will host Juniors, Seniors and Masters from October 21st to 27th.

14 French championship titles will be awarded during this freestyle kiteboarding championship for women and men in the Minimes, Espoirs and Open categories. For Peta, one more category with Masters. This French championship is open to everyone for the open category, with no selection obligation.

A Coupe de France Minime and Open will be organized at the same time as the Championship and will be open to all. This will make it possible to open the sport practice to all practitioners and the 3 kite disciplines including Twin-Tip which is the most accessible discipline and the gateway to other kite practices.

– Finally,French U23 Match Racing Championshipwill again close the season of the French junior championship and will be organized by the Yacht Club de Cherbourg from November 16 to 19. The 10 crews that will be selected from the selections from each coastline will be eager to provide great duels in the Bay of Cherbourg.
