Virtual immersion course for new employees
Specializing in the development of digital tools for remote professional training and simulation, the company Mimbus, established in 2011, is particularly interested in teaching manual trading through immersive technologies (augmented reality, virtual reality, etc.). ..).
“We have contributed to revolutionizing vocational training for industrial occupations, thanks to the development of a new generation of simulators, combining virtual reality, motion capture and virtual learning.”, explains Laurent Da Dalto. The Toulouse company already offers customized solutions for more than twenty trades in the industry (welding, painting, carpentry, electricity, maintenance, etc.).
The partnership with Daher must be divided into several parts. The first step is to develop an immersive virtual reality solution dedicated to the onboarding course for new employees.
Train versatile logistics agents
The manufacturer is also banking on the “metaverse” to raise awareness among youth and job seekers about logistics jobs. “A safer and more fun method which will allow the logistics warehouse to be brought directly to secondary schools, training centers, recruitment agencies and why not Pole Emploi agencies”points out Damien Roybon, head of the Log’in innovation program at Daher.
The project goes beyond Daher’s expectations to meet the needs identified by the entire logistics sector. The objective of the two partners is also to propose a new pedagogical approach to train versatile logistics agents. The first operation should be performed in 2024 on a group of about forty students. “We want to attract new profiles in logistics professions”insists Damien Roybon.
