“Blockchain Will Quickly Change HR Processes”

Le Journal du Net is a partner of the Mastercard Innovation Forum 2022, scheduled for December 8 in Paris. Author, Web3 specialist and guest of MIF 2022, Jérémy Lamri reveals to JDN his vision of the consequences of the decentralized network in the company.

Jeremy Lamry. There are several aspects. Business first: there are, for example, more and more companies that sell NFT, in many very different sectors. Then, on the virtual reality side, there are also increasingly immersive experiences and therefore many tools to create. Finally, there is Web3 in the company, which especially affects the training and work of employees. Among the topics that are growing, we can talk for example certificate blockchain capabilities, or the provision of digital vaults to store payslips. Blockchain will arrive in HR quite quickly. Little is known about it, but the government already registers state diplomas in blockchain.

And the metaverse?

By 2025 we will start to see some interesting things happen thanks to the evolution of technologies and the convergence ofartificial intelligence, blockchain and virtual reality. From there, the equipment will have matured with more ergonomic and lighter helmets. And the uses will come. So far, we have only reproduced our daily life in metaverse. However, anything is possible in a virtual universe! So when we start doing original and useful things in these universes that we can’t do in the real world, the uses will evolve. Because for now it’s still a gadget, we stay in Second Life.

What will be the next steps?

of virtual reality augmented has much more interesting potential in the short term. It is already used in training, to work on the right gestures in the nuclear industry, to learn to fly a plane… By adding AI, we will see scenarios appear like glasses that make an interactive teacher appear. Or a teacher present at augmented reality which will make it possible to reproduce a form of presence. Pedagogical engineering will evolve and many uses will appear in training. For example, Meta and Microsoft communicate a lot about what they do in surgery: the surgeon has AR glasses with a hologram that shows exactly the gestures he needs to make. Advances in technology will make it possible to adapt these experiences in all areas. All this will happen faster than a virtual universe, currently limited to sharing a powerpoint.

And even?

Blockchain will quickly change HR processes, be it in payroll administration, talent management and CVs. Tomorrow, an employer or a school will be able to certify an employee’s skills or abilities on a blockchain. And this certification will be valuable to future employers of this employee. There can also be a tactical aspect to choosing one’s employers based on recognizing the skills they can provide.

Another evolution of Web3, AI will enable content creation from real-time data analysis. Tomorrow is the machine that will create content for us, content outside of our mind, text, audio, images… We will be able to create recruitment tests, but also new forms of communication to promote inclusion. It is a new generation of the Internet where content creation will be done differently.

New functions which will also lead to the appearance of new professions…

Absolutely. In my opinion, four big families will emerge: those who are immersed, those who will work in Web3, such as sellers, real estate agents, etc. physical and moral rules. This is the category of trades arriving today. Organizers, because the more people there are in virtual universes, the more it will be necessary to organize what happens there. And finally the observers, in other words the analysts, those who will archive, interpret and comment on what is happening in these worlds.
