“Legend is coming to Binance,” the crypto exchange said. The football giant Cristiano Ronaldo will launch its collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) this Friday.
“My NFT Collection Coming November 18th, Exclusively on Binance”, Ronaldo said in a tweet. He added that fans can use a referral code to get “a surprise when the collection launches.”

According to an announcement from Binance,
“CR7 NFT Collection […] will be the first in a series of appearances with football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The statement adds that The next NFTs from the Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection will be available in early 2023.
Meanwhile, the inaugural collection will include seven animated statues with four levels of rarity:
- Super Super Rare (SSR);
- Super Rare (SR);
- Unusual (R);
- Regular (N).
Each rarity level gives certain benefitsincluding a personal message from Ronaldo and autographed items.
The 45 NFTs with the highest value 5 SSR and 40 SR will be auctioned in 24 hours on the Binance NFT Market. Auction prices will start at BUSD 10,000 for SSRs and BUSD 1,700 for SRs.
The remaining 6,600 NFTs – R600 and N6,000 – will be available on Binance starting at 77 BUSD.
The press release also states that,
“Each NFT statue depicts Ronaldo at an iconic moment in his lifeit could be making him a “bike” or moments related to his childhood in Portugal”.
Binance has first proclamation a multi-year partnership with the player at the end of June 2022. The latest announcement claimed that the product of this collaboration is “a one-of-a-kind experience that will change the world of NFTs forever,” adding:
“Starting this week, you’ll get a sneak peek at what we’ve been working on and more surprises for what’s to come.”
The initial announcement in June hinted that the initiative would help strengthen existing partnerships with the Argentine Football Federation, the Brazilian Football Confederation and professional sports clubs SS Lazio (IT) and FC Porto (PT).
At the time, it was clarified that registered Binance users in certain countries would be able to purchase collections using Binance Pay.
Collaborations between major sports players and cryptocurrency companies are becoming more common. As for football in particular, at the beginning of this year the Argentine professional footballer Lionel MessI signed a deal worth over $20 million to promote the digital fan company Socios.com. As part of the deal, Messi would take part in a promotional campaign for Socios during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to “Daily Mail”, Ronaldo has been “mocked” by his fans for promoting this collection of NFTs, just a few hours after accusing Manchester United of being a “marketing club”.
