of video game fair will bring to life the La Monnerie complex, La Fleche (Sarthe), Saturday, November 26, 2022. The event is worth avoiding, and we tell you why.
1 – To test new features
The organizers (Community of Communes of Pays fléchois through the multimedia space and Anthony Cocain, author of the blog insert-coin.fr) of 7th edition i Show Video Game wants to be “up to date” and will offer, during the event organized at the La Monnerie complex, newly released games.
Examples? The last Pokemon (Scarlet and Violet) or the last Just Dance, which is expected to be released on November 22, 2022!
These games, like many others, will be tested in the free access space, where the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series will rub shoulders. “One area will be dedicated especially to Just dance 2023,” announces Anthony Cocain.
Also to discover: an immersion in the world of virtual reality!
2 – To meet the “pros”
This new edition of the show, which will include a sixty consoles in general, it promises to “expand” on animations. So, these are six guests which have been announced, including two professional players: RZA (Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball FighterZ…) and Mr Crimson (Street Fighter V). Interviews, demos, autograph sessions and phone calls are on the menu.
The audience will also be able to meet 1Tlau, a fan of speed (practice which consists in finishing a video game as quickly as possible), Padg, the voice actor in video games and the two authors: Nicolas Deneschau and Romain Dasnoy.
3 – To measure your level in the tournament
This year, a “real tournament area” will be set up in the La Monnerie complex, with “emblematic games”, informs Cédric Forgeard, head of the digital support service.
With the help of the Angers eSport club, you will be able to register four rounds : Fortnite, Gran Turismo 7, Rocket League and League of legends.
4 – To find legendary games
The Video Game Show, while giving pride of place to new releases, also knows how to reserve a place for legendary games, with a retrogaming space. “Thirty consoles, from the 80s to the 2000s, will be offered with free access,” details Anthony Cocain.
5 – Spending time with family
The event, open to all audiences, aims to be unifying. “Most of the games are accessible to the youngest. This is an opportunity to create parent/child interactions”, confirm the organizers.
This show is a festive and educational meeting, which aims to bring together as many possible audiences as possible.
On site, a prevention zone will welcome visitors. Schools (eSports-studies, digital arts and online schools) and studios will present their training and creations.
A taste of cinema
Le Kid Cinema will host a video game fair preamble on Saturday, November 19. At 10 o’clock, a conference-debate will be offered on the topic “Softening of screens and growth”. It will be directed by Hélène Blondel from the collective 3/6/9/12. And, from 14:00 to 17:00 it will be possible to play with the family in the cinema around Mario Kart. Everything is free.
The toy library “Terre de jeux” and of course the multimedia space La Flèche will be part of the celebration. In addition, a taste of the family spirit will be available in theaters on November 19 (see box).
The show once again promises to radiate beyond the borders of Sarthe. During the best editions, it attracted up to 3500 visitors.
