How to produce a podcast with WeVideo

A podcast with WeVideo

Creating a podcast is one of the easiest creative exercises to use on any topic in any context. It forces students to structure their knowledge of a subject and share it in a synthetic way. They are usually very proud of the result and once they understand what it is about, they can become very good at creating more.

The teacher is left with many traces of the lesson, regardless of the starting topic.

Alexandre Bazinet invites you to explore the possibilities offered in this course.

You can create a podcast for very little money. The Anchor site is often cited, and rightly so, as the easiest way to create podcasts – that’s what I did. The big disadvantage in education is that the site is now owned by Spotify and they require posting on their site. Therefore, we cannot do “private” podcasts. Which is often a requirement in education.

But there are other solutions. Soundtrap allows for much more privacy. But it is a paid site after 30 days free trial.

If you have access to an iPad, the Garage Band app lets you do audio editing.

You can also use WeVideo.

It is a site that allows editing – audio or video – online. Since everything works without having to download an app, it works great on Chromebooks.

IN this series of videosshows the essentials of what you need to know to make a podcast with this tool.
