Paris, November 9, 2022
VISIOMED GROUP (FR0013481835 – ALVMG), a group dedicated to innovative health technologies and services, announces the signing of a letter of intent (LOI) and its entry into exclusive discussions with the Abrar Communications Co group. (“Abrar”), as part of his entry into Saudi Arabia.
As part of its strategic plan presented in the spring of 2022, Visiomed Group has announced its ambition to establish its offer in the Gulf region, relying in particular on the knowledge of Smart Salem. Building on the development of its subsidiary in the Dubai market (2 medical fitness centers were opened and a 3th under construction), Visiomed Group wants to initiate the new phase of development and place its activities in new geographies.
Visiomed Group and Abrar study the needs of the market with identified segments: “Medical Fitness”, diagnosis (medical biology and controls) and preventive offers. These discussions could lead to the creation of a joint venture dedicated to these activities in Saudi Arabia.
As part of this project, each partner will make complementary contributions to ensure the foundations of a successful regional deployment:
- The competence of Visiomed Group’s management and operational teams and the importance of Smart Salem’s differentiated service offering;
- Abrar’s industrial know-how and local experience in terms of partnerships with large international technology groups (in particular Thales, Airbus, Motorola).
Visiomed Group is satisfied with this first step taken. As part of this franchise, completed for an initial period of 3 months, the group will devote significant human, financial and technological resources to explore this new opportunity, in line with its desire for development and growth.
Saudi Market Overview:
The population of Saudi Arabia will grow from 36 million in 2022 to over 50 million in 2030, with a sharp increase in the expatriate population. At the same time, the aging population facing many pathologies will increase the need for new health service offerings.
In addition, Saudi Arabia welcomes more than 8 million pilgrims from abroad each year, also facing significant health problems.
Faced with these developments, major investment programs are planned for 2030:
- $60 billion in healthcare infrastructure investments, including $1.5 billion invested in the digital transformation of the healthcare system;
- Emphasizing Public-Private Partnerships and increasing the share of private investments from 40% to 65%.
